I have been using a near-final version of Snow Leopard for a little over a week now. I absolutely LOVE it. It is an under the hood upgrade for Leopard which focuses on the Intel Multi-core processors. It cuts several gigs out of Leopard and is incredibly faster. I now launch Adobe Photoshop cs4 in half the time it took with 10.5. Everyone with an Intel Apple computer needs to get this when it comes out in September. Sorry ppc users but it is intel only. This is truly an awesome upgrade.

I am in the process of buying a new MacBook Pro. 15 inch unibody, 2.53 ghz, 4 gig ram, 320 gb hard drive. My boss is selling me our demo unit. It is 6 months old and came maxed out and has Apple Care. I am getting it for below cost. It was a great deal. I am paying $100 a week for it. Woot!

The W hotel in New Orleans

3 Weeks ago I went to Nawlins. I had a check from my boss to pay for the bill. After I got there I found out it would cost $120 to park my car for 4 days. $120 bucks just to park it and leave it. The W insisted that I give them a credit card even though I was going to pay for "incidentals" like parking in cash. They then charged $985 to my credit card. When I complained they said it was a mistake and took the $985 off. I still had to argue with them because it cost $360 in overdraft fees. On checkout day I get a bill for $323. I asked them WTF so they finally reduced it to the $120 for parking. They also agreed to pay the overdraft fees. It took over and hour and a half just to check out.

Today, 3 weeks later, I finally got my check for the overdraft fees. I also just discovered that several days after I had checked out they charged another $354 to my credit card. WTF!!!! Now I have to fight with them to find out why they charged this to my card. Needless to say, I am overdrawn again.

I highly recommend that everyone stay away from the W hotel. What a nightmare.

I just returned from a week in New Orleans (Nawlins). I was there for an Apple Specialist Conference. Although it was geared towards the owners/sales force and I am a Service Manager, I had fun getting exposed to this side of the equation. The owners of my store sent me and my partner there to have fun. During the day we had classes and at night we had fun. There was a swamp tour, a riverboat paddlewheel dinner cruise, haunted city tour, and a trip to Nawlins oldest and still operation theater to watch the new Star Trek movie. One night there was a speed dating dinner with venders and another night there was a vender fair where they showed off all their new products for Mac. I got several 1 gig flash drives loaded with different software and several NFR and retail software programs. We ate at several really good restaurants such as K Pauls.
The only part that I hated was that my wife couldn't get time off work to join me. She is my best friend and I don't like not having her around to share the fun with.

I went to the DR on Monday and I asked him what he thought of the TENS unit. He gave me one to try. I still take Lyrica for the nerve damage, but, I have cut my pain meds by more than 1/2. I love it.
