Snow Leopard

  • Drinking: Diet Coke
I have been using a near-final version of Snow Leopard for a little over a week now. I absolutely LOVE it. It is an under the hood upgrade for Leopard which focuses on the Intel Multi-core processors. It cuts several gigs out of Leopard and is incredibly faster. I now launch Adobe Photoshop cs4 in half the time it took with 10.5. Everyone with an Intel Apple computer needs to get this when it comes out in September. Sorry ppc users but it is intel only. This is truly an awesome upgrade.

When I saw the subject line of your journal, I thought, "Wow! Maybe he got an amazing photo at the zoo!!! I can't wait to see it." But then... you talked about your computer. :ashamed:

Anyhoo...sounds like you're really having fun with the new O/S! Enjoy!!!!

One of the guys at work is a beta tester and he let me use one of his copies. He is allowed 5 total. I think he pays $100 a year as a developer for this.

I am. It is a big improvement.
My boss is cool. She told me that I can skip paying her this week on the computer because between being off for the holiday and taking off to bring Terri to the Dr's I would not get much of a check.

I'm seriously thinking of either a massive upgrade to this laptop or replacing it. I have to wait until next February at least... That's when I'll have money thanks to my tax refund!

The hard-drive is only 60 GB and I have a spare hard-drive with 160 GB just so I can still download stuff from iTunes.

Hey... you're an Apple geek :giggle: Is it possible for me to move my iTunes library off the laptop and onto the portable drive and still have iTunes find everything?

yes you can. You just have to tell it where to look.

I sort of thought so, but have been scared to try it.
